Previous Article: “Go Stab Plump Kings Till the Fat Closes Over the Handle

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.
Romans 1:20-22

Step 1: Forget

We need to set up a king! Now, some would say, “we already have a King.” But I don’t see Him around, do you? No, He is off on a distant journey, He will not return for sometime.1 Forget the LORD and all that He has done.2 The Israelites consistently neglected the promises of God and all His accomplishments, failing to teach their children of who God is and what the LORD has brought about. Why can’t we do the same? Do you not want to feast and feed on the good fruits of the earth? Let the wine flow, indulge yourself. A little substance to take off the edge, the past is so traumatic. Suppress those awful, terrible memories.3 Invite your neighbor over, have a celebration with the whole family! The rebellion by the sea was such a small thing, you made it out!4 Your own two feet testify to this. Look at your worn and mud caked sandals, we were all there! Yes, you and your family passed through death!

They made a calf in Horeb
and worshiped a metal image.
They exchanged the glory of God
for the image of an ox that eats grass.
They forgot God, their Savior,
who had done great things in Egypt,
wondrous works in the land of Ham,
and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.
Psalm 106:19-22

Remember the former things of old;
for I am God, and there is no other;
I am God, and there is none like me,
declaring the end from the beginning
and from ancient times things not yet done,
saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
and I will accomplish all my purpose,’
Isaiah 46:9-10

Step 2: Raise a Temple

You walked out of slavery, did you not, arms full of plunder? Shall we not take the plunder, all that is good, and give sacrifice to our deliverer?5 Oh, you don’t know what he looks like? I myself have seen a great vision, a great statue of gold, 60 cubits tall.6 And our savior needs a roof over its head. We were slaves after all, masters of our brick-making craft. Let us take what we were taught, and build such a great tower and a name for ourselves.7 Let it dwell there so the people may come and pay homage. Fear, tremble, and cower beneath the cloven hooves!

And they said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks, and burn them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and bitumen for mortar. Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens, and let us make a name for ourselves, lest we be dispersed over the face of the whole earth.”
Genesis 11:3-4

And she did not know
that it was I who gave her
the grain, the wine, and the oil,
and who lavished on her silver and gold,
which they used for Baal.
Hosea 2:8

Step 3: Anoint Caesar

Now, we need a king. One to manage the tower, and pay homage to the Golden One. A mighty man of valor, one who has defeated all other nations and their false gods.8 Submit and pay homage to the anointed Caesar, serve him well. A child or two would suffice, for the king must be covered in blood to approach the inner sanctuary.9 We must be docile before the king, otherwise, how can he rule over us? Tribute is such a small thing, the right eye will do nicely.10 The emasculated cannot rebel. “Kaiser kurious!” Caesar is Lord!

And do not listen to Hezekiah when he misleads you by saying, “The Lord will deliver us.” Has any of the gods of the nations ever delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivvah? Have they delivered Samaria out of my hand? Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their lands out of my hand, that the Lord should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?”
2 Kings 18:32-35

They served their idols,
which became a snare to them.
They sacrificed their sons
and their daughters to the demons;
they poured out innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was polluted with blood.
Psalm 106:36-38

I am a Fool

As I started the outline for the piece, I was thinking only of the fruits, not the root of sin. That the root of the current US culture was all of these symptoms. “Ideology A leads to outcome 1.” “Hedonism leads to Feminism and Red-Pillers,” “Libertarianism leads to Obergerfell,” “Utilitarianism leads to tyranny” etc. Yet while I was reading through the Old Testament, I came upon Ecclesiastes. My thoughts and wisdom about the current state of our Fat Kings in the US was shown to be utter foolishness.

“What has been is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a thing of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It has been already in the ages before us. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any remembrance of later things yet to be among those who come after.”
Ecclesiastes 1:9-11

The sin we see today is the same sin of old.

Psalm 106 summarizes the history of Israel in Exodus and Judges, describing the constant harlotry towards idols. The people of God turn their hearts after the images of beasts and man, the calf of Horeb, Baal-Peor, and demons that required human sacrifice.11 The people forget all that the LORD has done, they forget all that the LORD has commanded. I pray that God opens the eyes of us Christians today.

The people of God are tempted by the same idols today. That the World’s problem of sin can be solved via the Globalist or the Nationalist, that we must overthrow the creational order and bless sodomy, that we must love the child sacrifice of abortion. The Worldly worship that lead to fertility idolatry, eunuchs and child sacrifice, is the same worship that leads to polygamy, castration and abortion. Just as the pagans of old suppress the truth in unrighteousness, so do the nations of the world today. We claim to be wise, and “exchange the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.”12

How do we Christians respond? In the exact same way the Church has always responded, in belief and faith upon Jesus Christ. Hold fast to the promises of God and His covenant with His people. We must know the Gospel, brothers and sisters. The current “culture war,” is the same evil that has been raging in rebellion against the Most High since the beginning. Think! Remember! Throughout history, behold the works of God!13 The LORD broke the Canaanites, He shattered Babylon, and “He will shatter kings on the day of His wrath.”14 Look to the great nations in the World. Where has the World thwarted the promises and victory in Christ? Augustus Caesar has fallen and the Roman Empire is broken. The Soviet regime and their Iron Curtain failed to stamp out the faith. The Nigerian Churches have continued and stood for centuries despite the Islamic attacks. And there are faithful Christians in North Korea and Saudi Arabia to this day. The Christian responds in faith to the promises of God.

We Live By Faith

We love half of Hebrews 11. By faith, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, and many more did great and wonderful things. There were victories, people set free, battles won! Pagans are routed, the day is delivered! Men survived fiery furnaces, sieges, lions shut their mouths, ambushes and more!

But by faith Abel offered a more acceptable offering than Cain, and was considered righteous by God.15 And Abel, rewarded by God’s pleasure and favor, was beaten to death by his brother. And by faith, Joshua, who conquered Canaan by the Spirit of the Lord, wandered in deserts, watching his generation die before his eyes, never receiving the Promise. David, in faith, was exiled and persecuted, hunted by the king he served and by his own rebellious son.

The faithful do not bow to idols. There are times when God delivers His people from fire, and there are times when they are burned as candles to amuse emperors.16 There are times God shuts the mouths of lions, and there are times when the people are torn apart before all in the Coliseum.17 There are times when God breaks the chains off of prisoners, and there are times when the prisoners’ lips cry out as a reflection of Christ, “forgive them, they know not what they do.”18 Some were tortured. They were mocked, flogged, beaten, stoned, killed by the sword, sawn in two.19 And Christ reigns through all of this. The perfect example, as He passed through a crowd looking to hurl the God-Man off a cliff, yet at the appointed time, He laid His life down on the cross.20 Jesus will return with justice and a sword, for His name’s sake.21

Be encouraged Christian. The wickedness of the world will not succeed. The plans of the enemy will be thwarted; our God sits in the heavens and laughs at the foolish kings of the earth.22 We bow before God, kissing the Son in repentance, holding fast to the Promise.

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
