Don’t Get Woke. Get to Know Your Local Church Brethren.

Nestled within 1 Corinthians 11, we find a likely familiar passage concerning the Lord’s Table which pertains to the current social media conversation on racism and socioeconomic class. Critical race theory is probably the last topic I want to write about at the moment, but it certainly is the topic du jour, so let’s take it on […]

I’m Kind of Done Upgrading my Logos Bible Software

Some time ago, I started a YouTube channel called Bible Software Guy. Just as many auto mechanics were successful with channels about repairing cars, I thought I’d do one with my own little niche. Sure, there are far fewer people doing work in advanced Bible software than repairing cars, but I thought this would be helpful. […]

The Worldview of Seth MacFarlane’s The Orville, Part Two

In my previous post, I reviewed an episode of the Seth MacFarlane’s comedy-scifi series, The Orville, in which the show presents its worldview concerning the dignity of women. Whereas “About a Girl,” is a positive case for the show’s worldview, the following episode, entitled “If The Stars Should Appear,” throws some barbs at the Christian worldview. […]

Partnering with Future Churches

What a travesty when local churches are reckless with their doctrinal commitments, soteriological practices, commitment to the Scriptures, worship practices, and church leadership structure all because things are seemingly going “good.” Too many churches take confidence in current worship attendance numbers, weekly offerings, or baptism rates in order to justify practices that are setting up future generations to be taken captive by Babylon, thinking “Why not, if there will be peace and security in my days?”
