A Simple Gospel Tract Text

by | Nov 15, 2021 | Evangelism

The Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.

The most important question everyone must answer is “Who do you think Jesus Christ is?” If you answer incorrectly, you will die in your sin. But God grants eternal life and peace to those who confess that Jesus has come in the flesh and was raised from the dead, and recognize that He is the Christ—the anointed one sent from God. Christ executes the office of a prophet, in revealing to us, by his Word and Spirit, the will of God for our salvation.

The only Redeemer of God’s people is the Lord Jesus Christ who, being the eternal Son of God, became man, and so was and continues to be God and man in two distinct natures and one person forever. Jesus died on the cross nearly 2000 years ago and perfectly executes the office of a priest in His once offering up of Himself as a sacrifice to satisfy divine justice, and to reconcile us to God.

You need a redeemer because you are a sinner. You have broken God’s perfect law which you can see in the Ten Commandments. But God, being rich in mercy sent a sacrifice to pay the penalty that sinners deserve. Jesus said, “Repent and believe in the gospel,” and “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” Are you born again? Do you believe that Jesus is your only hope that God can be pleased with you?

Jesus will return to execute judgment on all those who have not eagerly awaited his reappearance. He is the King over all. Today, turn to Him in faith and you can receive forgiveness of sins rather than the expectation of punishment you deserve.

You should notice that this tract text steals copiously from Keach’s Catechism! What a resource I had never considered before.

Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life

Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life

If a person changes their life because they change their thinking, apart from salvation in Christ and the renewing of the Holy Spirit, (although those changes may be positive changes), it is not the church’s purpose to help people better their lives simply by better thinking. It is her purpose to preach God’s Word to people and let them fall under the conviction of the Holy Spirit where the only real helpful change to a soul occurs (Phil 3).

An Open Letter to Unbelieving Parents

Dear Unbelieving Mom, Dad, or Grandparent, Perhaps you are a flat-out denier of the truth of Christianity. Or, perhaps, you would not refer to yourself as an "unbeliever" at all since you do profess to be a Christian. But, for all intents and purposes, you are what is...
